I'm sorry man, but I don't see it happening this season. The AFC is too competitive this season, and the AFC North isn't gonna have two playoff teams, the South is gonna have at least the Colts and the Jags and quite possibly the Titans. I don't think the Browns can unseat the Steelers, and they will have to compete with the #2 out of the West and the South for the wild card spot and I doubt they will be able to beat them out. You've got the Broncos, Jags, Titans, and even the Bills, Jets (Favre), and Ravens to worry about. If the Browns were in the NFC i'd give em a chance to get to the playoffs, but not in a stacked AFC.

Browns should worry about making the playoffs first even... then think about the playoff wins... Browns are a good team, but then again other AFC teams are still better all around. Steelers will still take the AFC north, and I still think the Browns will go 9-7, and MISS the playoffs.

Think about the schedule the Steelers have. It's just as tough as the Browns. If the Browns take one game from the Steelers, beat Cincy, and Balt then what? I didn't see anyone say anything about the Browns winning playoff games either, unless it's deep in the thread.

I happen see a huge reason they don't make or even go deep into the playoffs.
yes it is a very old saying, and yes it is totally cheesy, but it is also true... DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!! and the Browns not only do not have a championship defense, they have a very sub par one at that. |

Ok now your just hating. I didn't see a single response to anything I said. Our defense has played together for no this is their third PRESEASON game. I'm happy if the Browns make the playoffs but our defense was 30th last year and we still almost had one game from you guys with that defense. There is only 6 games on the schedule I care about this season, and thats the games against our division.

I am not hating at all, even though I do hate the Browns...
It is a fact you defense was almost dead last in the NFL last season and did nothing to improve. Adding only Rogers, a very AVERAGE DL is laughable at best. Browns offense on the other hand is clearly top 5 in the league, that is if key players repeat preformances of last year. So if you combine both sides of the ball, overall that makes the Browns around the middle of the pack in the NFL. |

Thanks for the repeat. Rogers was a good add to stuff up the middle, and Williams was a good add for the end. They just need experience with each other and our line will be fine. Alex Hall is gonna be a beast to fill Willie McGinest's spot. Our corner's just need the in-game experience. Our safties are still young, but good. So to sum it up, our defense needs more experience. So to say we did nothing to improve I don't understand that. Our biggest problem was DL and we added to that.

I really think the AFC is too talent rich for the Browns to make the cut. Too many teams are good, and they'll have to hope for the absolute best out of their team and for another playoff team to lose a few key starters.
