Perfect Storm

Ochocinco wants to team with T.O., who's still open to Bills return

Hahaha... This is the single stupidest thing I have ever heard... Me thinks that Chad wants another big name opposite him to make him look better... And he's even willing to get a big mouth like TO to get his... I'm calling this now, if this happens, Palmer quits the team... LOL! Not really, but I wouldn't want to be in his shoes...

I think this is just Chad being Chad... But that's just me. I bet he'd react like he did last off season if they actuely DID bring him in... But with the new balance offence the Bengals had this last season, I think Chad's feeling the pinch, so he's just trying to make something happen, just like on the field...

I would welcome TO to the Bengals. I think he would improve the passing game enough to take coverage away from Chad. I think this was the big problem this past season. Coles or Caldwell were not enough of a threat to take pressure off of Chad, not to mention that Coles got old quick this season. TO could come right in and be the #2 from day 1. I would sign him to a one or two year deal. This is a quick, cheap fix for the Bengals offense. They will need to pick up a TE, and some interior olineman, possibly resign Bobbie Williams and the offense will be set for next season. I think bringing in TO would open up the draft for the Bengals. I don't want to see the Bengals draft a Wr. because he wont see much playing time and it will take time to develop as a starter.

TO is also very pedestrian in his first year. They can e really good if they get him.

If you give him a one year deal they can get far in the playoffs

Bengals brought in Matt Jones and Pacman Jones for a look. Offered Matt Jones a contract. Matt Jones could be Chris Henry's replacement. Big fast wr with off the field problems. I think if he stays clean he could be a really great addition to the Bengals wr. corp. Nothing like giving players second and third chances. Titans also offered Matt Jones a contract.

Theres a big difference between TO and Matt Jones. I think if you give him one year and clean up the defense a bit ,they are SB contenders.

Maybe, but the Bengals found their Chris Henry replacement, just like they found their Rudi replacement last year when they picked up Benson. The NFL, news media, and many fans from other teams hate the Bengals, so I find it inspiring when trouble players turn their lives around when given a second chance in Cincy. There is no downside to signing Jones, who signed a contract worth $700k with no signing bonus. If he screws up, yeah Bengals will have some negative publicity, but if he turns out like Benson did it is great move in getting Palmer more weapons. Not to mention that he is 6'6 230lbs and runs faster than Henry did when he was with the Bengals. Now just get TO, a TE, and some more interior lineman and the Bengals offense looks pretty awesome.
