Baltimore Ravens WR Derrick Mason calls it quits after 12 years - ESPN

I know he's been in the league a long time, but could McNair's sudden death have had some effect on Mason? A serious blow to the Raven's WR depth...

I bet it did, cause he was about to come back for one more...I had him in my fantasy team....He was a starter!!!!!!

These guys are dangerously thin at WR. I guarantee you either Amani Toomer or Marvin Harrison are playing for the Ravens this year.

don't know about Marvin Harrison now that he's got two guys saying that he shot at them, one of which was involved in a shooting in which Harrison's gun was used.

As I stated earlier, this is going to be a down year for the Ravens. Everything points to it. No receivers, a defense that is getting older, and a QB going into the dreaded 2nd year is going to be too much for them to overcome. If all that is not enough, their HC is also going to go through the 2nd year blues. This team has a good chance of finishing behind Cincinnati.

In all fairness he was getting older but everuone knows he wanted that contract ext. and he did not get the money like he wanted he hung it up i think he still can play good and its only about the money !!!

The Raves may be 4 and 4 but far from being a disastrous team. This game vs Indy is a big one and could put Baltimore back on the map and back into contention with a win.
