Ravens: Playoff Team?

After getting McNair, are the Ravens a playoff caliber team?

I think they can make it in as a wild card because anybody at QB is an upgrade over Boller.. except maybe Wade Belak...

I don't see it happening ............ the Ravens just do not have the talent that so many other teams in the AFC have.

Its going to be a real tough division (AFC North)

1a - Steelers
1b - Bungles
2 - Ravens

4 - 'da Browns

On the field, they manage to be less than the sum of their parts.

I think so.

Can't remember off the top of my head since I don't follow the Titans much.

I would put their chances at making the playoffs at 50/50. Without Ed Reed and Ray Lewis for large stretches last year the defense was still one of the best in the NFL. The departure of Anthony Weaver will more than be offset by the arrival of Ngata.

On the offensive side of the ball I had more worries about whether Jamal Lewis can regain him form than I do about McNair's health. Overall on offense there is more talent at the skill positions than there ever has been.

What difference does that make? How many quarterbacks can you name that have played an injury free season in the last 5 years? Injured or not he has played in 14 or more games five or the last six years.

Beat me to it. It does seem like the guy is hurt a lot. It just gets played up a lot on TV. Bottom line is that he's always ready on Sunday.
