Ravens claim to be the "toughest" and most "hardhitting" team in the NFL, yet they cry to the league over a little WR in Hines Ward getting some hard blocks on them. As for the whole bounty issue, if they were actually given money for taking out Mendenhall, that is technically against the rules. Suggs says they didn't get any money for the hit, so he doesn't even know what the word "bounty" means... I don't see how this is a big deal? Mendenhall ran his mouth as a rookie, so it's natural that the Ravens would want to hit him hard. Probably has happen plenty of times.
I was at the Ravens/Steelers MNF game and just find it funny how Suggs and the Ravens said that they were and also tried during the game to gun for Ward. And yet Hines ended up with the two huge hits that game. (that he got fine by the NFL for)
What Hines has been called dirty and fined for is nothing worse than blocks that happen during every punt or kick off.
As for the Bengals saying saying that Hines is a "blind side hitter"... the defender Hines hit was clearly looking down field trying to tackle the ballcarrier and towards Hines as he got hit. I am so sick of this talk about the players being sooo large and fast now in days, that they can't hit anyone anymore. Yes defenders are larger but so are the guys they are hitting and tackling. So it is basically equal, as long as it's a clean hit get over it. This is FOOTBALL! if you do not like getting hit, play basketball or baseball.

Haha Idk what tapes you saw but Hines Ward def gave him a nice blind side hit. Ward is a b****. He needs to hit someone face up. He'll get his little A** laid out if he tries. Seriously, watch the tape again Rivers isn't at all looking up field, and where does Ward come from?

So when your Browns players do that same type of block during kickoff you probably have no problem with it right?

That's the thing it wasn't a Browns player. It wasn't on a kickoff. It was a Steelers player. It was on a bailout screen pass. We can talk about it when I see it.

I can bet a Browns player has done blocks like that... almost every team on every kickoff or punt throws a comeback block like that... either keep your head on a swivel or watch out.

Yeah, the Ward injury was incidental. Unlike the Chris Johnson injury, which was clearly done cuz the Ravens knew they couldn't begin to slow him down, and had no chance with him in the game. It worked too.

Will this "War" be as brutal as it is now if Ray Lewis doesn't return to the Ravens?

Pittsburgh Steelers Ravens Suck!

Steelers are way better than the Ravens!
I hate Baltimore, and I don't think young Flacco is that good! Pittsburgh sweeps Baltimore to take AFC North Title for the 3rd year in a row!

This is always a great matchup. The defences are great always, the difference is always the offence. Until Baltimore can shut down Big Ben, they won't win.
