Thoughts on the Troy Vincent debacle?

As you all may have heard, Troy Vincent was placed on IR despite suffering only a mild hamstring strain.

This move upset the players, the owner, and some fans, and appeared to be totally unnecessary. But looking further into it, I've decided to go with it. Though the Bills may not have a winning squad just yet, I think the one thing Buffalo fans can say is that the Front Office is loaded with intelligence. Between Marv Levy and Dick Jauron, I'm confident the decisions are made in the best interests of the team.

Besides, Donte Whitner and Ko Simpson need to see the field as much as possible

Is their motivation really due to money, because they didn't want to pay him, and needed to restructure? That's what my friend told me.

They're going to have to pay him one way or the other. It's football motivated.

Ko Simpson looks great thus far and IMO it's an upgrade. I think TKO will eventually realize that the Bills are more competitive with Vincent off the field. Simpson hits harder and covers much more ground. Vincent may be extremely intelligent, but knowing where to be doesn't do any good if you don't have the wheels to get there.
