Bill Calahan hired by Jets

I`m excited with it just looking for some other perspectives.

It is a good hire, but the Jets still are light years away from winning that division. 2 good drafts may take care of that. However, go do a youtube search on "Jets draft" and you will see the hilarious history of first round flop picks by the jets.

Could be worse.

Guys at my apartment were chanting the exact same thing.

Vikes reached on Derrick Alexander instead. Brady was at least one of the best blocking TEs in football and a servicable receiver. Alexander was never more than just an adequate player (the kind you have in there only until you can get a quality one to take his place).

To think, had a chance at having a Sapp-Randle duo at DT...

Of course, the Vikes passing on Sapp because of his failed drug test and seeing what a mistake that was lead to them not making that same mistake when Moss fell to them a few years later.

Alexander was a good receiver for the Grbac-era Chiefs. But the Grbac-era Chiefs are something we do not talk about.

EDIT: I see we are thinking of different Alexanders.

Bumping old threads and obvious post padding with no intent on making a valuable contribution?

Hmmm ... I smell a goalineblitzer

I'll go ahead and ban you just to be on the safe side, can’t be taking any chances these days.

Actually, Gailey and Callahan both fit into the "has been" boat. Just recycling old failures. I don't see where either the Chiefs or Jets are going, unless it is to challenge the Raiders or Dolphins for last place in their conferences.
