He's old. Band-Aid solution until the Dolphins get their QB of the future, although they've been waiting for that since Marino retired.

It's defeinitely a band-aid. But i's one that will help this team's offense more than the previous QB's the last few seasons.

Green is more than capable of running Cameron’s offense even if it’s a stop gap for a season or two. They definitely weren’t going anywhere under Daunte’s impaired abilities … should be a good deal between both teams, the 5th rounder could possibly turn into a 4th rounder if his performance is up to par so it’s not all that bad.

The Dolphins best hope that their offensive line holds up and protects Green, because if he goes down, well, it'll be ugly. It is, however, a good trade for them, a definite upgrade from Culpepper.

Well he cant do much worse than the other QBs have done. Now Miami has not had very bad teams in previous years, the the QB position has really hurt them.

Disagree. Dolphins, on the offensive side, have been a mess all-around.

QBs have certainly lacked talent, but they were not holding them back. A great QB wasn't going to take this team anywhere, a bad QB was just playing up to the talent around him.

Ronnie Brown has been a tease thus far. Might be that Brown is just a good RB rather than a franchise one. While he has not been bad, he also hasn't emerged like people expected. That said, tough for any back to look good behind the Dolphins line.

Speaking of their line, it has been varying degrees of terrible. Not one o them do you look at and say "he is good". When players can go from street free agent to the starting line-up in a week, you know talent is lacking.

The receivers get the most attention, but are overrated. As talented as McMichaels and Chambers are, they are also maddeningly inconsistent.

All-in-all, it was just a bad scene.

I guess I didnt factor in their offensive line troubles. The line over there in Miami has been bad for a while now. Generally you cant run or through if you are on the ground. As for the recievers I agree they have just about the most overrated receiving unit in the league. That could be the reason they drafted Ted Ginn. Bring in a proven college WR and see if his style of play will work in the pros. IMO, it will. I think right now Ginn is probably one of the faster players in the NFL. If he can become a better route runner he could be a tremendous threat to any defense.

FYI... McMichael is now a Ram. Ginn Jr. is still recovering from a foot injury, he might be ready by August. Green should make all of the offense better. A much improved passing game will help open lanes for Brown.

Early speculation has Culpepper going to Atlanta... a long shot but who knows???

Don't be suprised if they cut him. It's already late for QB's and most teams have already filled their back-up position. Culpepper wasn't playing all that well before he got hurt. Who would have intrest in him???

The Fish handled this trade like they do with most of their problems. They screw around and waste a lot of time and finally act. This was a nothing deal going in. The Fish get an aging QB who had his bell rung big time last year, always a potential career ender. The Chiefs get a 5th round pick, which is a crap shoot at best. Why this deal took so long is totally beyond me.

Culpepper is probably finished. No one is going to buy into that rediculous contract that the Fish stupidly signed him to. The Fish will have no choice but to cut him and pay him. Nice way to end a career. Sitting at home and making millions. But this is so typical Miami.

Still, Miami should improve a bit this year. They may now even challenge Buffalo for 3rd in the AFC East. They are still a long ways away from challenging the Pats, and will depend on Green to last long enough until their next project QB is ready to give it a go.

Well that changes things. Now, instead of going 5-11, the fins will go 5-10-1.
