Jets release Barlow

The New York Daily News reports the Jets have released Kevan Barlow.
After four TDs in the first four games of 2006, Barlow was ineffective and finished with a league-worst 2.8 yards-per-carry. The move saves $2.6 million and gives the Jets room to bring in competition for Cedric Houston as the power back in their committee with Leon Washington.

Good...I was never a big fan of the deal that brought him to NY anyway. I'd prefer Houston and Washington over him any day.
