Why is everyone considering the Patriots a shoe in
It seems to me everyone except Bill Valieick (forgive the spelling) thinks the Patriots are already in the playoffs!! I fear the overconfidence will hurt them in the long run. I would be a bit surprised if they lost to Jacksonville and a very hot Tennessee team and h have to count on the Jets losing to make it. I'm a Patriots fan and hope it doesn't come to this, but this is my fear o least a possibility-they need a draw up a week opponent or else bye-bye Patriots

Most football fans can read standings and understand the tiebreakers. No need to lecture us.
I think it's unlikely they lose their last 2 games but I'm not saying it's a shoo-in. Who is?

I made a small bet yesterday that Jets win the division . . . 12 to 1.
They have to beat Miami on Christmas MNF in Miami and then win hosting Oakland in week 17 . . . Meanwhile New England has to lose to Jacsonville and Tennessee both road games . . . I noted that Miami and Oakland will not be playing for playoff positions while Jacksonville and (very likely) Tennesee will be . . . I completely agree with anyone who thinks it's unlikely, but I still made the small bet because I think it could happen and I liked the odds . . . |

At 12 to 1 that's not too bad-the Patriots are on the road which is usually good news for your scenario-except for this year they are upside down. I'll be rooting for you to win but not too strongly New England's my favorite team!! I hope they both make the playoffs personally
