WOLFPACK (NC State)

WoW! What a season for the pack! And I don't mean that in a good way, either. I've been heart-broken by Wolfpack loses too many times this year.
So far, they've lost against: Akron, Southern Mississippi, Wake Forest and Maryland!

As a graduate of NC State, I remember how much fun the games were, especially when we won.

Any other PACK fans out there?? How do you think Saturday's (Oct 28) game against Virginia will go? It's an away game for them, I hope they can rally to victory!

I just want to say that I have followed along with NCState over the years. I know this must be a tough year for all of the fans! (and for the team) I must applaud your continued support and hopes for a win! Too many fans are "fair weather" fans. They jump on the bandwagon when things are great, but run off when things aren't as fun.

NCState is *so* well known for their upset victories! They are such a fun team to watch then in their prime.

I hope next year will be better for them!

I do live right in the middle of Wolfpack country, though...

I just passed Carter Finley Stadium today on the way to the Hurricanes game. 5-4 over the Thrashers in overtime.

There is nothing else in the world like being at an NC State home game, especially if you're sitting in the student section! Some of my favorite memories of attending NCSU are of attending games. Especially games against Carolina.

Wolfpack ROCKS and Amato is totally awesome! He's even awesome in person and has a great relationship with the student body. For a while, I was an RA (Resident Advisor) at the, 'Athlete's Dorm' and when Amato came on board, things really changed. It went from football players getting away with EVERYTHING to Amato stepping up and saying, 'HEY! You aren't JUST here for football and you aren't 'untouchable' on this campus'. He has done amazing things for the Pack over the years.

I suppose I can't call Carter Finley a high school stadium anymore, what with the recent additions.

I miss those days.

It's still a high school stadium compared to The Horseshoe though.
