Don't forget in 2 yrs in KC, Montana led the Chiefs to the playoffs twice and one AFC championship appearance vs. Buffalo.
Rice did the same for the Raiders and played in a Super Bowl (could have been two if not for the Tuck Rule) plus he played for a Seattle team that won the division.
Yes it was painful, yes they were past prime, but I don't agree about magic they had was no longer there whatever that means.
Rice in Denver - that was only in training camp/preseason so I'm not counting it.
