They lost 4 super bowls in the past. It just has the feeling of a jinxed franchise in MN. Only time will tell if the current changes and a new stadium change the culture of the team. For MN fans, i hope it helps. I just think that it wont.
That 15-1 season was Red's 1st or 2nd season. He stopped putting money into the team and had among the lowest operating cost of any NFL teams. He was as cheap as cheap could get, especially off-the-field where the coaching staff could hold a meeting in a taxi cab and the facilities were community college caliber. In a symbolic microcosm of the Red regime, the Viking Ship over in Eden Prairie was rotting away. Red put only as much money into the team as he was obligated too and only spent on the those cornerstone players that would make it attractive for sale. He wanted a new stadium built, but wouldn't spend a dime of his own cash.

Losing past SuperBowls means nothing. No team has ever won a SuperBowl until they won a SuperBowl. Be it the Patriots, Ravens, Broncos or who-ever.

Wilf may be another Red in disguise. Who knows. But to say that the Vikes simply won't win because they are in Minnesota is just silly. Might was well say the Eagles will never win as long as they are in Philly, the Browns will never win as long as they are in Ohio, or the Bills will never win as long as they are in Buffalo. Keep in mind that nobody thought the Patriots would ever win anything either. Until they did and people started to think they may be the next dynasty.
